Skyhawks Sports Academy Fall Programming
Since 1979, Skyhawks sports has led safe, fun and skill-focused sports camps and programs for youth. They offer different sports--and countless ways for your child to grow. All Skyhawks programs are held at Wolfe Park.
MultiSport Tots (baseball, basketball, soccer)
Introduce your little superstar to sports in our most popular program! This multi-sport class uses age-appropriate games and activities to explore balance, hand/eye coordination, fitness, sport skills, and child development. Parent/caregiver participation required for the 2 and 3 year old groups. (All three levels are combined due to low enrollment as of 9/11/2020)
Mini-Hawk (baseball, basketball, soccer) This program is FULL as of 9/11/2020, please use wait list in case we get any cancellations
This multi-sport program was developed to give children a positive first step into athletics. Sports are taught in a safe, structured environment filled with encouragement and fun. Through exciting games and activities, campers explore balance, hand/eye coordination and skill development at their own pace.
Multi-Sport (baseball, basketball, soccer, flag football)
Multi-Sport programs are designed to introduce young athletes to a variety of different sports in one setting. Athletes will learn the rules and essential skills of each sport, along with vital life lessons such as sportsmanship and teamwork.
The above programs are held at Great Hollow Lake side of Wolfe Park in the grassy area next to the concession pavilion.
Participants will learn the fundamental os swinging, putting, body positioning, etiquette, and keeping score. The program is specifically designed for the entry-level player, simplifying instruction so that young players can make an easy and effective transaction onto the golf course. All equipment will be provided.
Golf will be held at the pool side of Wolfe Park, please meet at the basketball courts the first day of the program.
Place programs in cart and follow instructions all the way thru. You can either pay online or create a registration form and pay by check. If paying by check you must include your driver’s license number or your registration will be returned. Once we receive your check, we apply it to your online registration form. No one is registered until payment is received and applied to your online registration form. If you do not create an online registration form and come to our office for us to create one for you, an additional $10 fee will be assessed.
Requests must be submitted in writing. They will be prorated and $10 processing fee is withheld from each program withdrawal. The balance will be applied to your household account to use for a future program. If the refund is due to medical reasons, a full refund will be issued as long as your request is accompanied by a doctor’s note. If the Parks and Recreation Department cancels a program a full refund will be issued.
The Monroe Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to change schedules/locations as necessary and cancel programs due to insufficient registration or lack of instructor(s).
