Camping Regulations

1. Camping permit fee is $10 (Monroe residents) per site for one to five people ($35 for non residents) and $15 (Monroe Residents) per site for six to ten people ($45 for non residents). Fees are per day per site.
2. Non-Profit group (fee based upon physical location of organization) camping permit fee is $5 (Monroe resident based groups) per site for up to ten people ($25 for non residents). Fees are per day per site.
3. Limit of ten people per site. 
4. No permit is issued to anyone under 18 years of age.
5. Permittee accepts responsibility for all guests at their assigned site and any damage to site.
6. Only two vehicles per site per permit. No RVs or Pop-Up campers. When coming in to book camp site make sure you have the vehicles license plate numbers.
7. Tent camping equipment only.
8. Campsite must be occupied within twenty-four hours of day assigned or it will be declared an open site. Length of stay is limited to fourteen consecutive days. At the end of camp stay, site must be clean and vacated by 12:00 noon.
9. All non-camping visitors must leave by sunset.
10. Quiet Hours are from 11:00pm to 7:00am.
11. There is no electricity or shower facilities. Just a shared portable toilet within each cluster. There are no swimming areas on the entire property. 
12. Bring a large bucket to fill water at the well to put out your fire. Please clean out your fire pit before leaving.

Permits
Permits are only issued Monday through Friday with the Parks & Recreation Department Office during normal business hours. Unfortunately, we cannot issue permits on weekends or holiday office closures. The person who is taking out the permit must be on site the entire length of rental and submit their photo identification with the permit request. We must have a valid email and phone number included on your form in case we need to contact you. 

Camping Season
Camping begins Saturday of April break for Monroe Public Schools and concludes the second Saturday of November (weather permitting).
Permits available at Monroe Town Hall, 7 Fan Hill Road Monday through Thursday 8:30 am-4:00pm and Friday 8:30am-1:00pm.  You need to bring drivers license and license plate info for vehicles. There are no permits issued at the campsite or on weekends or holidays. 

Firewood
Firewood will be supplied in certain areas at Webb Mtn (one area near camp sites 2-7 and another near camp sites 8-11) until stock is depleted. To guarantee you have wood for your stay, campers can certainly bring wood from their home stockpile. Our supply is low and we can't guarantee any will be available for the entire season. Firewood used must comply with State of Connecticut regulations.

Reservations
We will begin to accept camping reservations on Tuesday February 18, 2025.
The first night for camping is Saturday, April 12, 2025.
The last night for camping is Saturday November 8, 2025

The person taking out the permit is the only one we will communicate with from your group. The driver's license photo, name and address listed must match the information on the application as well as the credit card or check information. We also need a valid phone number and email that we can read legibly in case of any changes in our ability to allow camping on any given night. No exceptions!
