Summer Fun Days...CIT Program

This program is currently unavailable. Click here to view all of our current programs.

Our Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program is a great opportunity for kids entering grades 9-11 in the fall to learn what it takes to be a camp counselor.

The goal of the CIT program is to find participants that have a true desire to work with children and who may want to be considered for a counselor position in the future. Through hands-on experience, CITs will participate in planning, implementing activities, and oversight of campers. CITs will develop leadership skills, child safety, and conflict resolution skills. Each CIT will be assigned a counselor and at times, will be given a special event to help plan.

A CIT is expected to work with their counselor to encourage campers to participate in activities in a safe, and fun environment. CIT participants will be evaluated at the conclusion of their camp service.

Deadline is May 13, 2022 and CITs must participate in a minimum of two weeks.

Parents, we understand that you may have questions, please have your child advocate for themselves. We will be working and mentoring your child and need them to go about our process accordingly.

Please note that the "CIT Application" listed below needs to be filled out and returned to parksandrec@monroect.org to be considered for an interview. If chosen to be a CIT, you will then register for appropriate sessions below and submit the remaining forms.

* Adjustments and discounts will be applied during checkout if applicable. *
