Straton Sports Academy
The SSA youth program devised for 2-6 year olds is based on the widely held sociological premise that play, a form of freedom at the very heart of sports, is an integral part of personal and social development. Our aim is to create and environment in which children feel most comfortable and in which youngsters learn to cooperate with others through the physical exertion of practicing and acquiring fundamental skills and core values of the sport. Age-appropriate activities for this group revolve around loosely structured play and games as opposed to more formally organized games best suited to older groups.

Remember to wear cleats or sneakers, shin guards and bring plenty of water.

Registration
Place programs in cart and follow instructions all the way thru. You can either pay online or create a registration form and pay by check. If paying by check you must include your driver’s license number or your registration will be returned. Once we receive your check, we apply it to your online registration form. No one is registered until payment is received and applied to your online registration form. If you do not create an online registration form and come to our office for us to create one for you, an additional $10 fee will be assessed.

Refunds
Requests must be submitted in writing. They will be prorated and $10 processing fee is withheld from each program withdrawal. The balance will be applied to your household account to use for a future program. If the refund is due to medical reasons, a full refund will be issued as long as your request is accompanied by a doctor’s note.

The Monroe Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to change schedules/locations as necessary and cancel programs due to insufficient registration or lack of instructor(s).
