Through the practice of Tai Chi: Yang Tai Chi 108 Movements Form; Tai Chi and Qigong exercises, improve overall body strength, stamina, coordination and flexibility. Other benefits are improved balance and stress reduction. The movements and exercises are gentle and low impact and in most cases can be tailored to an individuals special needs.
No previous experience is required; comfortable shoes or sneakers that provide good support with flat rubber soles; loose, light weight, comfortable clothing that breathe.

Please carry shoes that are to be used for practice so as not to track dirt that could affect practice floor.

Place programs in cart and follow instructions all the way thru. You can either pay online or create a registration form and pay by check. If paying by check you must include your driver’s license number or your registration will be returned. Once we receive your check, we apply it to your online registration form. No one is registered until payment is received and applied to your online registration form. If you do not create an online registration form and come to our office for us to create one for you, an additional $10 fee will be assessed.

Requests must be submitted in writing. They will be prorated and $10 processing fee is withheld from each program withdrawal. The balance will be applied to your household account to use for a future program. If the refund is due to medical reasons, a full refund will be issued as long as your request is accompanied by a doctor’s note. If the Parks and Recreation Department cancels a program a full refund will be issued.

The Monroe Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to change schedules/locations as necessary and cancel programs due to insufficient registration or lack of instructor(s).
