Two Planks Theater Company, who brought you Oliver! and Chicago in Wolfe Park this past summer, presents a fun and exciting introduction to the world of theater for budding young actors.

The class is taught by acting coach Susan Halliwell, who has worked as an actor in film, television and on stage.  She has directed, coached and taught young actors for over 30 years.

Theater games allows young students to absorb theatre skills organically, without any conscious effort.  The workshop brings a spirit of spontaneity and play to the students' day.  These same theatre games were used to train many film and television stars, including the likes of John Belushi, Bill Murray, Mike Myers, Steve Carell, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert and Tina Fey.

The classes are suitable for children in grades 4-6 of all ability levels.

Students are asked to dress to move comfortably.

Refunds
Requests must be submitted in writing. They will be prorated and $10 processing fee is withheld from each program withdrawal. The balance will be applied to your household account to use for a future program. If the refund is due to medical reasons, a full refund will be issued as long as your request is accompanied by a doctor’s note.

The Monroe Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to change schedules/locations as necessary and cancel programs due to insufficient registration or lack of instructor(s).

Registration
Place programs in cart and follow instructions all the way thru. You can either pay online or create a registration form and pay by check. If paying by check you must include your driver’s license number or your registration will be returned. Once we receive your check, we apply it to your online registration form. No one is registered until payment is received and applied to your online registration form. If you do not create an online registration form and come to our office for us to create one for you, an additional $10 fee will be assessed.
