Learn the practice of meditation and relaxation as taught in the ancient tradition of the Himalayan Institute to get in touch with your own center of inner calm in a whirling world of stress and sensory overload. Each class will include a brief, gentle yoga stretch, instruction in proper breathing and sitting techniques, full body relaxation, and meditation practice to reduce stress, improve your body's immune system and bring balance to your mind and body in a supportive, open environment. This program is appropriate for anyone, regardless of physical abilities. There is no special equipment needed except for a yoga mat, one or two blankets and a notebook.
Instructor - Nadine Richardson, BA, RYT, RMT holds a BS in Psychology and is a registered yoga instructor, earning her certificatin in the ParaYoga Tantric-Hatha Yoga tradition, and a certified Reiki Master in the Usui Shiki Ryoho lineage. She is currently a student in an advanced (500 hr) Yoga Teacher Training and Ayurveda Specialist Training.
Refunds must be submitted in writing. They will be prorated and $10 processing fee is withheld from each request. The balance will be applied to your household account to use for a future program. If the refund is due to medical reasons, a full refund will be issued as long as your request is accompanied by a doctor’s note.
The Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to cancel any program due to insufficient registration or lack of instructor(s).
