Since 1979, Skyhawks sports has led safe, fun and skill-focused sports camps and programs for youth between the ages of 3-12. They offer different sports--and countless ways for your child to grow. All Skyhawks programs are held at Wolfe Park.
Flag Football - Flag Football is the perfect introduction to “America’s Game.” Campers learn skills on both sides of the football including the core components of passing, catching, and defense – all presented in a fun and positive environment. The week ends with the Skyhawks Super Bowl, giving participants a chance to showcase their skills on the gridiron!
Multi-Sport (soccer, baseball, basketball and flag football) - This camp is designed to introduce young athletes to a variety of different sports in one setting. Athletes will learn the rules and essentials of each sport through skill-based games and scrimmages. By the end of the week, your child will walk away with knowledge of multiple sports along with vital life lessons such as respect, teamwork, and self- discipline. Camp includes pool time Tues, Wed and Thur. Please pack swimsuit and towel.
Beginning Golf - Boys and girls will learn the fundamentals of swinging, putting and body positioning. Skyhawks has adopted the ShortGolf system to its curriculum. ShortGolf is specifically designed for the entry-level player; ShortGolf simplifies instruction so that young players can make an easy and effective transition onto the golf course. All equipment provided.
Soccer - Skyhawks is the nation's #1 camp for learning the fundamentals of soccer. Using our progressional curriculum, boys and girls will gain the technical skills and sport knowledge required for that next step into soccer.
Mini-Hawk (soccer, baseball and basketball) - This multi-sport program gives children a positive first step into athletics. The essentials of each sport are taught in a safe, structured environment with lots of encouragement and a focus on fun. All games and activities are designed to allow campers to explore balance, movement, hand/eye coordination, and skill development at their own pace.
Lacrosse - Suit up and find out why lacrosse is one of the fastest-growing sports in the country. Lacrosse combines the basic skills used in soccer, basketball and hockey into one fast-paced, high-scoring game. Athletes will learn the fundamentals of stick handling, cradling, passing, and shooting in a fun, non-checking environment. Participants must provide their own equipment, which includes protective head gear (goggles for girls, helmet for boys), gloves and stick. Sand Volleyball - All aspects of volleyball are taught through drills and exercises that focus on passing, setting, hitting and serving. This program is designed for the beginning and intermediate player. Our staff will assist boys and girls in developing the fundamental skills through game-speed drills and daily scrimmages aimed at developing the whole player. Camp includes pool time Tues, Wed and Thur. Please pack swimsuit and towel.
Track and Field Clinic
Skyhawks Track & Field combines technical development, fundamental techniques and safety with a major focus on fun! Using special equipment, boys and girls learn the fundamental of body positioning, stride, proper stretching and cool-down techniques.
Field Hockey Camp
Skyhawks Field Hockey will introduce the fundamentals of this fun and exhilarating sport. New players will learn dribbling, passing, shooting and game strategy while more experienced players will improve their skills with an emphasis on execution and game situations. Each session will include skill-based instruction and a series of drills, games and scrimmages. Players must provide their own field hockey stick, protective eye wear, shin guards, mouth guard and cleats/turf shoes. Limited number of sticks are available to rent at www.skyhawls.com.
