For children entering grades 6-9.
Summer Adventure Fun Days for Tweens will be hitting the road 2-3 times each week to experience thrills, fun, and making memories with each other! Separate trips are being planned specifically for the Tween program.
Trips are subject to change and at times may have slight departure and arrival times. Week specific info will be sent out. Refunds not issued because of trip change.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THEMES AND ACTIVITIES CAN CHANGE AT ANY TIME.
Session 1 Beach Vacation Week. Nothing says summer break like a beach vacation and this week will be just that. Put on your sunscreen, grab your sunglasses and favorite Hawaiian shirt, we are headed to the beach. If you love the beach, this is the week for you. Campers will enjoy the sun, water, and the waves while they compete over the biggest and best sandcastle.

TRIPS: Avery's Soda Factory, Lighthouse Point Park, Lake Compounce
Session 2 Stars & Stripes. Celebrate America during this red, white, and blue packed week. Campers will have the opportunity to create camp-themed banners, sing songs and cheers to celebrate the 243rd birthday of the USA! Campers will enjoy parades, cookouts, and games all while learning some great history and what makes this country so great.

TRIPS: USS Nautilus Sub Base, Ice Skating at Sports Center of CT, Monster Mini Golf
Session 3 Wacky Mismatch Week. Are you ready to get wacky and wild at camp! Mismatch day, wackiest outfit day, and crazy hair day highlight this wild week of fun. Campers will have their chance to let their individual creativity fly and get as wacky and wild as they like as they battle camp counselors for wild and wacky supremacy.

TRIPS: Spashdown USA Water Park, Quassy Amusement Park, It Ropes Course at Jordon's Furniture
Session 4 Movin' and Groovin' Dance Week. lt's time to get Jiggy With It! This music-filled week is all about movin' and groovin' to some great music. Campers will explore their musical creativity with a week dedicated to some great tunes. Dance contests, group routines, and a visiting DJ who will get the party started are just a few of the great things campers will experience this week. Each day will start and finish with a 10-minute dance break where the campers can show off their best moves.

TRIPS: Bowling Bowlero Milford, The Adventure Park at the Discovery Museum, All in Adventures Escape Room-Milford
Session 5 Olympic Color Wars. Let the games begin! Campers will spend the week battling it out with daily competitions all geared to get them ready for the Color Wars Olympic Field Day!! Obstacle courses, water balloon tosses, sack races and more! Which camper led country will take home the gold?

TRIPS: Urban Air Adventure Park, WNBA CT Sun Basketball Game, Golf Quest Sports Center
Session 6 Barnyard Palozza Week. Howdy Partners! How would you like to live life on the farm? Well this week, you can! Line dancing, hoe downs, and regular ol' country good times. will be had. Campers will be entertained by a country carnival type atmosphere. Snow cones and cotton candy for the campers as they take part in their favorite country carnival themed games and activities.

TRIPS: Beardsley Zoo, Powder Ridge Adventure Park, Fascia's Chocolate Factory
Session 7 Super Hero Week. Faster than a speeding bullet...more powerful than a locomotive and more popular than any other week is Super Hero Week! Save the world. Stand for truth and justice, Fight crime and even save a kitten or two. It is your choice. Campers will only be limited by their imagination this week as they can take on the persona of their favorite larger than life supers heroes.

TRIPS: Brownstone Exploration Park, Movies and Beach Visit
Session 8 Turn Back the Clock - Decades Week. It's time to travel back in time to the 80s, 70s, or maybe even the 60s. Campers and counselors will dress in their favorite decades garb. Each day of the week will bring us to a different decade with different games, different stories, and a whole lot of fun. Campers will even have a chance to visit a roller skating rink dressed up in their best 1970s skating attire!

TRIPS: Tubing on the Farmington River, Rollerskating and Campardy Show
What to bring: Your child should wear his/her camp shirt, sneakers and comfortable clothes to explore and get messy with. Do not send your child in sandals/open toed shoes! On pool days, he/she should bring a bathing suit and towel. Please put sunscreen on your child in the morning before camp. Your child should bring a refillable water bottle, snack, and lunch with suitable food for travel. Your child can bring a book or board game to extended care. Other than that, they should not bring toys from home, specifically video games. Counselors may ask children to bring in various materials for projects that are going on or special events.
YOU MUST DOWNLOAD AND SUBMIT ALL PAPERWORK BELOW IN ADDITIONAL FILES. IF YOU DO NOT PROVIDE THIS YOUR CHILD CANNOT ATTEND CAMP. Please note that the credit card authorization form is not needed if you have already paid online
To be used before camp (7:30-9:00), after camp (4:00-5:30) or before and after camp.
Place programs in cart and follow instructions all the way thru. You can either pay online or create a registration form and pay by check. If paying by check you must include your driver’s license number or your registration will be returned. Once we receive your check, we apply it to your online registration form. No one is registered until payment is received and applied to your online registration form. If you do not create an online registration form and come to our office for us to create one for you, an additional $10 fee will be assessed.
Requests must be submitted in writing. They will be prorated and $10 processing fee is withheld from each program withdrawal. The balance will be applied to your household account to use for a future program. If the refund is due to medical reasons, a full refund will be issued as long as your request is accompanied by a doctor’s note. If the Parks and Recreation Department cancels a program a full refund will be issued.
The Monroe Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to change schedules/locations as necessary and cancel programs due to insufficient registration or lack of instructor(s).
Refunds will not be issued if a theme or activity changes
Multiple child discount - if you are registering two or more children a onetime $50 discount will be offered. In this instance you need to create a registration form by placing appropriate session(s) for all members in the cart, follow instructions all the way thru. At the end don't make payment but create an online registration form. Email our office (email@example.com) to let us know you have done so and also fill out and send a credit card authorization form (found below in the FORMS section), we will adjust the price and process payment.
